Grand Cayman: season by season
High & dry season. November through April is the dry, high season – sunny, calm and clear, ideal for diving and the beach. Prices peak over the winter holidays and around the Cayman Cookout food festival in January.
Hurricane & low season. June through October is the wet and hurricane season (Ivan devastated the island in 2004), with September-October the riskiest and cheapest. Showers are often brief, but keep plans flexible.
Shoulder season (best value). May and November bridge the seasons with warm, mostly dry days and lower rates.

January’s Cayman Cookout is a bucket-list foodie event; Batabano carnival colors up May; and the diving is superb year-round with water at 79-86°F. Little Cayman and Cayman Brac add quieter escapes.
