Turks & Caicos: season by season
High & dry season. December through April is prime time: warm days in the low-to-mid 80s, cool nights, gentle seas and the year’s clearest water for diving and snorkeling. It’s also the busiest and priciest stretch, and the holiday weeks sell out early – book well ahead.
Hurricane & low season. August through October is the heart of hurricane season and the wettest, most humid time of year, with September the peak. Rates fall sharply, so flexible travelers with good insurance can find real deals – just watch the forecast and keep plans loose.
Shoulder season (best value). Late April into June, and November, are underrated: still-warm, mostly dry, quieter beaches and softer prices before and after the winter crush.
What else to know
January to April is humpback whale season along the Columbus Passage – one of the island’s most special experiences. Landlubbers can catch the Conch Festival in November and the Maskanoo street party on December 26. Water temps hold around 80-84°F all year.
