Moreover, the ocean is truly something special. It is so clear that you can see the coral reefs in the distance, making it a perfect spot for swimming. It is not just a pretty sight – it is a call to grab your gear and explore the underwater wonders firsthand.

And the best part? You can take out paddleboards, kayaks, hobbycats, and snorkel gear right from the beach whenever you are ready for some fun on the water! In short, the beach offers amazing opportunities for people with different preferences. If you are an adventurous soul, you have the chance to try some new activities. However, if you are all about relaxing and soaking up the sun, you will not have a problem finding a spot where you can genuinely unwind! 

Why I Love The Beach at Sandals South Coast

Insider Tip: To make the most of your beach experience, try visiting the coral gardens in the early morning or late afternoon. That is when the marine life is most active, and you will get to see the vibrant fish in their natural habitat. Plus, the light during these times creates a beautiful setting for snorkeling.

This resort truly shines with its four pools and four whirlpools. If you are not a fan of the beach, you will love the fact that the hotel offers you different kinds of pools for every mood and every part of the day.   

While all the pools are amazing, the real highlight of this Jamaica Sandals Resort has to be the central pool that winds its way around the whole property. It is such a unique design! One of my favorite features was the swim-up bar. It was a fantastic feeling to just float over and grab a drink without ever having to step out of the refreshing water. That made lounging in the sun even more enjoyable! Plus, I loved the variety of cocktails they offered – it really added to the whole vacation vibe.

• The main pool is the largest and serves as the vibrant social hub of the resort, where guests love to gather. 
• For those looking for a refreshing drink, the swim-up bar is a fun spot that offers a variety of beverages while providing the perfect chance to mingle with fellow guests.

• For a touch of exclusivity, consider the private pools, where you can enjoy your very own plunge pool or a swim-up suite in the Rondoval Suite Luxury Suite.

There are nine unique restaurants at Sandals South Coast, each serving up delicious dishes from around the globe, and they all have their own unique vibe. No matter what you are in the mood for, there is something for everyone. Here’s a quick rundown of the options:

• Jerk Shack: If you are looking for a bite during the day, the Jerk Shack is the place to go. It is all about authentic Jamaican flavors here. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned and had a nice spicy kick, just the way I like it. Enjoying a Red Stripe beer in the casual open-air setting with ocean views was a real treat!

• Café de Paris: For those with a sweet tooth or in need of a coffee fix, Café de Paris is a must-visit. With its French-inspired vibe, this café offers delicious pastries and Jamaica’s Blue Mountain coffee – truly a heavenly combo! It is the perfect spot for a snack any time.

• Bayside: I kicked off my day with a fantastic breakfast at Bayside, which has lovely views of the water. They offer a buffet packed with options in the morning, and at night, it transforms into a charming French Brasserie.

• Jasmines: Want to switch things up from Caribbean cuisine? Jasmines serves incredible pan-Asian dishes. The place has a nice Asian-inspired decor, and you do not even need reservations! 

• Neptune’s: For Mediterranean seafood lovers, Neptune’s is a highlight. I went for the garlic shrimp, which was fresh and bursting with flavor. Dining on the beach under the stars was simply unforgettable.

• Sushi On The Sand: If you are in the mood for something a bit more adventurous, check out Sushi on the Sand. The chefs whip up fresh sushi and sashimi right in front of you. It is quite the experience!

• Schooners: This restaurant has a casual yet upscale vibe and requires reservations. It is the perfect spot for fresh seafood while watching the sunset from the romantic patio. I highly recommend trying the grilled swordfish steak!

• Giuseppe’s: This is more of an upscale dining option featuring Italian cuisine. They serve amazing pasta and wood-fired pizzas in a cozy, piazza-style setting that adds special European charm.

   

• Eleanor’s: I enjoyed a delightful Caribbean fusion meal at Eleanor’s, focusing on local ingredients. The grilled Caribbean lobster was a standout dish, showcasing their commitment to quality. The attentive service and intimate atmosphere make it a must-visit for a special dining experience.

• The variety and quality keep every meal exciting, making dining here feel like a delicious adventure every time!

Sandals South Coast offers a total of 20 different room categories to fit every taste and budget, with 360 luxurious suites spread throughout the property. For instance, I opted for an overwater bungalow, but there are different room levels you can choose from:

• Luxury Level Rooms: These are the entry-level accommodations, featuring a king-size bed, a smart TV, and an in-room fridge. While still quite nice and offering stunning views, they don’t come with extras like butler service or private pools.
  
• Club Level Rooms: If you want a bit more, the Club Sandals Level rooms include everything from the Luxury Level, plus concierge services. You will also enjoy a fully stocked bar with premium drinks and get access to the Club Sandals Lounge, all while taking in beautiful Caribbean views.

   

• Butler Level Suites: For the ultimate experience, go for the Butler Level suites. You will have a personal butler to cater to your needs, and these include the popular Rondoval Suites with their own private pools or the incredible overwater bungalows.

Why I Love The Accommodation Options at Sandals South Coast

• The overwater bungalows are absolutely incredible – waking up to the ocean right outside my door was pure bliss. 
• If you are on a budget, the Luxury Level rooms are super comfy and stylish, perfect for enjoying the breathtaking views. 
• For a little extra luxury, the Club Level rooms come with concierge service and a stocked bar. 
• The Butler Level suites are a total game-changer! Having a personal butler to cater to your needs made everything feel extra special.

Insider Tip: If you are planning to stay at Sandals South Coast, definitely consider upgrading to a Club Level room or a Butler Level suite if your budget allows. Having a butler means you can skip the lines at restaurants and have someone handle reservations for you. It is all about making your stay as relaxing and hassle-free as possible!

All-Inclusive Amenities

Sandals South Coast really has a lot to offer, and it can be tough to remember everything. With all the included perks, I found it definitely worth the money! The accommodations strike a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, with even the entry-level Luxury Level rooms being quite impressive. 

When it comes to dining and drinks, the all-inclusive experience is taken to a whole new level with nine gourmet restaurants and seven bars. You can choose a different restaurant for each meal, making every dining experience unique. 

Moreover, the range of water sports included is extensive. Unlike some other all-inclusive Jamaica Sandals Resorts, this one offers power sports like skiing and wakeboarding, along with certified scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, and paddleboarding.

In addition, there is always something happening at the resort. I particularly enjoyed Beach Party Night, and there were also live music performances and fire eaters to keep things lively. So, I was definitely never bored during my stay!

And let’s not forget to mention that the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. If you opt for butler service, you can request just about anything at any time. This will allow you to have the ultimate experience at a Sandals resort and feel like a royal. 

Finally, the private beach and modern fitness center add to the experience, and the no-tipping policy creates a relaxed atmosphere without any surprise charges at checkout.

Why I Love The Amenities at Sandals South Coast

• Every room is designed with comfort in mind, making it a cozy retreat after a day of fun. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches that made our stay feel extra special.
• Since the dining options are abundant, I never felt limited in my choices. Whether I was craving Italian, Asian, or fresh seafood, there was always something new to try. 
• The convenience of having unlimited drinks at the seven bars meant that I could enjoy cocktails by the beach without a second thought. It really added to the vacation vibe!
• The range of water sports available is just outstanding. Whether I wanted to try my hand at snorkeling or enjoy some leisurely kayaking, there was something for everyone. 
• The entertainment is astonishing. There is lively music, fun beach parties, and even fire eaters performing at night. 

Insider Tip: Take advantage of the early morning hours to experience the beach before it gets busy. The serene atmosphere as the sun rises is truly magical, and it is the perfect time to snap some stunning photos or simply enjoy a peaceful stroll along the shore. Later, you can enjoy all the other amenities the resort offers!

How to Get to Sandals South Coast?

Sandals Grande South Coast is tucked away on the serene southwest coast of Jamaica, making it a perfect escape from the everyday noise. If you are flying from Miami, you will be pleased to know that it is just a quick flight, under two hours! There are also plenty of direct flights to Jamaica from major cities across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and the UK, so it is pretty convenient no matter where you are coming from.

Once you land at Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay, it is about a scenic hour and a half drive straight to the resort. The best part? No matter which vacation package you opt for at Sandals, it includes a complimentary transfer to and from the airport. It really adds to the seamless experience of starting your getaway, so you can dive right into relaxation without any stress.
