Quick answer: Aerolíneas Argentinas will fly to Curaçao for the first time in its history starting January 2, 2027, operating four flights a week from Buenos Aires through March 29, 2027 — two nonstop and two routed via Aruba. The announcement was confirmed by the Curaçao Tourist Board on August 28, 2026. It lands on top of an already steep run: 23,924 Argentine stayover visitors came to Curaçao between January and July 2026, up 79% year over year.
The schedule

- AR1378 — nonstop Buenos Aires to Curaçao: Wednesdays and Saturdays

Curaçao’s Minister of Economic Development, Roderick Middelhof, confirmed the route as part of the island’s South American connectivity push.
The numbers behind it
This is not a speculative route. Argentina has been the fastest-moving source market Curaçao has, and the figures the tourist board released alongside the announcement make the case:

Why a Buenos Aires route matters to an American traveller
A flight you will never take can still change your trip, and this is one of those.
Curaçao sits outside the main hurricane belt, which makes its peak season January through March — exactly the window this route serves. Four extra widebody-scale arrivals a week for thirteen straight weeks is real pressure on a small island’s room inventory in its busiest quarter. Curaçao is not Punta Cana; it does not have tens of thousands of all-inclusive rooms to absorb a demand shock.
Two practical implications if Curaçao is on your list for early 2027:
- Book the January–March window earlier than you normally would. The rooms most likely to tighten first are the ones Argentine leisure travellers and Americans both want — ocean-view and swim-out categories at the Piscadera Bay and Jan Thiel properties.
- Watch the Monday and Thursday arrivals. The via-Aruba flights land midweek, which nudges the island’s check-in rhythm off the traditional Saturday turn. If you want a quieter first day, a Sunday or Tuesday arrival is now the softer slot.
There is a second-order effect worth naming too. Airlift begets airlift. Every carrier that proves a Curaçao route works makes the next carrier’s route committee braver, and North American service to the island has been thin compared with Aruba for years. A successful Argentine season in 2027 is one of the arguments that gets a US city added in 2028.
