Jamaica’s north coast is getting a new adults-only all-inclusive competitor. Royalton Hotels & Resorts has confirmed that its Royalton Chic brand will debut in Runaway Bay, Jamaica, with 345 suites targeting couples and adult travelers.

The property will be located about an hour from Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport and roughly 40 minutes from Ocho Rios. The resort will feature four a la carte restaurants, an international buffet, a sports bar and lounge, a Jerk Hut, and live entertainment programming.

What This Means for Jamaica’s All-Inclusive Landscape

Jamaica’s north coast has been dominated by Sandals and Beaches for decades — and for good reason. But the arrival of Royalton Chic adds a meaningful new option for adults-only travelers, particularly those who want a contemporary, entertainment-forward resort experience.

For context, this opening coincides with two other major Jamaica developments: Sandals’ $200 million reimagination of three Jamaica properties (South Coast, Royal Caribbean, and Montego Bay) and the upcoming Beaches Runaway Bay opening later in 2026. Runaway Bay specifically is becoming one of the most competitive resort corridors in the entire Caribbean.

How It Compares to Sandals

The Royalton Chic model targets a slightly different audience than Sandals. Where Sandals emphasizes romance, butler service, and curated luxury, Royalton Chic leans more toward social energy, nightlife, and contemporary design. Both are adults-only and all-inclusive, but the vibe and experience are distinct.
