Virgin Voyages just announced something no cruise line has attempted at this scale: bringing its entire four-ship fleet to a single set of coordinates in the Caribbean at the same time.
The event, called “Sisters at Sea,” is scheduled for February 16, 2027. All four Virgin Voyages ships — Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady, and Brilliant Lady — will converge at a point approximately 38 nautical miles north of Nuevitas, Cuba. It’s a one-time gathering that the company says is not planned as a recurring event.
How It Works
Rather than a single sailing, Virgin Voyages has structured the event across four different itineraries, each timed to intersect at the fleet gathering point on the same day. That means you pick the ship, itinerary, and departure port that works for you — and all four routes meet in the middle.
Here’s what’s been announced so far:
- Scarlet Lady — 5-night sailing from Miami (Feb. 15–20), with stops at Grand Bahama Island and Bimini Beach Club.
- Valiant Lady — 7-night sailing from San Juan (Feb. 13–20), calling at Cabo Rojo, Samaná, and Grand Turk.
- Resilient Lady — 7-night sailing from Miami (Feb. 14–21), visiting Progreso, Grand Bahama Island, and Bimini.
- Brilliant Lady — 10-night Eastern Caribbean sailing from Miami (Feb. 8–18), with calls in St. Maarten, Tortola, St. Croix, San Juan, and Puerto Plata.
Each sailing works as a standalone Caribbean cruise. The fleet convergence on February 16 is the shared experience that ties them together.
Why It Matters
Sir Richard Branson has described this as the next phase of the brand’s evolution — moving beyond launching individual ships to creating fleet-wide experiences that only Virgin Voyages can deliver. The coordination required across four ships, four routes, and four departure windows makes it logistically complex and difficult to replicate.
For travelers, the decision is less about the destination and more about being present for a specific, unrepeatable moment. Virgin Voyages has confirmed this will not be a recurring annual event.
