Best Sandals Resort in St. Lucia

I have to admit, Saint Lucia is hands down my favorite Caribbean island. The Piton Mountains and the lavish landscapes are something truly special. You really have to see them in person because pictures do not quite capture their beauty. Plus, the St. Lucia Sandals Resorts are simply amazing. That is why it is not surprising that vacations in St. Lucia offer an unforgettable experience.

I have had the chance to check out all three St. Lucia Sandals Resorts – Sandals Grande St. Lucian, Regency La Toc, and Halcyon Beach. Each of them is quite stunning and comes with authentic characteristics. If you are thinking about staying in one of them, I have shared some details that will help you choose the one that will suit all your preferences.

It is crucial to mention that all of the St. Lucia Sandals Resorts are adults-only and come with an all-inclusive package that covers food, drinks, scuba diving, golf, and more. And, the great thing is, no matter which one you choose to stay at, you get access to all three thanks to their exchange program. It is like getting three vacations in one, and you cannot beat that!

Sandals St Lucian Villas

If you are looking for a romantic getaway, Sandals Resort St. Lucia Grande is consistently rated as one of the best resorts in St. Lucia for couples, and it never disappoints! The resort offers a stunning white sand beach that runs along gorgeous coastline, with breathtaking mountains on one side and Pigeon Island on the other. It is only a quick 5-minute walk to Pigeon Island, where you can explore Fort Rodney, old ruins, and take in some amazing views.

One of the best things about this St. Lucia Sandals Resort is its location on a secluded peninsula at the northeast tip of the island. This means you get fantastic panoramic views and, thanks to its sheltered spot, calm waters most of the time. This is a big plus, especially since this part of the Caribbean can be windy! If you are a fan of swimming, you will love this place for sure!

Sandals Resort St. Lucia Grande is also unique because it is the only one that has overwater bungalows. These special accommodations are found on a little peninsula at the southern end of the beach, but there are plenty of beautiful room options for all kinds of budgets. Those who want a little bit of romance and luxury, and have the chance to afford the bungalows, should consider them for their accommodation because they offer an unforgettable experience.

When it comes to food, you are in for a treat with 12 restaurants to choose from at the resort alone! Plus, guests can also enjoy 16 additional dining options at the nearby Sandals Halcyon Beach and Sandals Regency La Toc. And let’s not forget about the seven bars available, including some great swim-up bars and the Piano Bar.

For golf enthusiasts, you can take advantage of free greens fees and transfers to the Cap Estate Country Club or La Toc Golf Course, both of which are just about a 10-minute drive away.

Insider Tip: The Sandals Resort St. Lucia Grande is perfect for couples looking for a dreamy beach getaway that is all about relaxation and romance, but with a bit of a lively vibe.

We recently returned from a trip to St. Lucia Grand. We became SANDALS fans for life. We have never been taken care of so well by any other staff in our lives! SANDALS make everything so easy, and we genuinely appreciate how the entire stay was focused on our enjoyment.  The food at any of the restaurants was so good; the drinks all came from the top shelf, and the room was always clean whenever we returned to it. I can’t wait to get back – Thanks SANDALS for making our lives better.”

Plus, it is set right by a private cove beach with stunning blue waters – it is just what you imagine when you think of a Caribbean paradise.

How to Choose The Right Sandals Resort in St. Lucia

St Lucia best sandals suites and rooms

Selecting the best Sandals Resort in St. Lucia for your vacation can be a delightful yet daunting task, considering the unique offerings that each resort provides. Namely, it is amusing to check out amazing features and pick the hotel of your choice. But when you are presented with so many options, you can easily get overwhelmed.

That is why having some practical tips at hand can help out. So, here are some key factors to consider to help you make the right choice based on your preferences and desired vacation experience:

Atmosphere and Vibe

Each St. Lucia Sandals Resort has its own distinct atmosphere. If you are looking for a lively social scene with plenty of activities, Sandals Grande St. Lucian may be your ideal choice. However, for a more romantic and peaceful retreat, Sandals Regency La Toc strikes the perfect balance between tranquility and charm. On the other hand, Sandals Halcyon Beach is suited for guests seeking a relaxed environment surrounded by nature.

Location Preferences

Consider what you want to experience during your stay. Sandals Grande is situated on a secluded peninsula, offering stunning views and calm waters. So, it is great for swimming and sunbathing. On the other hand, Regency La Toc, perched on bluffs, provides gorgeous vantage points for sunsets, while Halcyon Beach is located in lush gardens, perfect for a serene escape. These settings are all appealing, but they suit different preferences, so pick the one that meets your vacation requirements.

Accommodation Options

Evaluate the types of accommodations that align with your vacation style. Sandals Resort St. Lucia Grande is notably the only resort with overwater bungalows, perfect for couples looking to indulge in a unique and romantic experience. However, all three resorts offer a variety of room types to suit different budgets and preferences. So, decide what you need for your vacation, and you will be able to choose the resort that has everything for you.

Dining Variety

With numerous dining options available at each resort, consider your culinary preferences. If you enjoy trying various cuisines, all three resorts give you access to each other’s restaurants through the exchange program, totaling 28 dining choices! This flexibility allows you to explore diverse dining experiences, ensuring you never run out of delicious options.

Activities and Amenities

Think about the activities you want to enjoy. Whether you are interested in golfing, diving, or simply lounging by the pool, each resort provides different amenities. For instance, all resorts offer complimentary greens fees for golf enthusiasts, but the social activities and evening entertainment may vary. So, check out the features carefully, especially if you are looking for an active and adventurous holiday!

Guest Reviews and Recommendations

Familiarizing yourself with guest experiences can offer valuable insights. Look for reviews that highlight aspects you find important, such as service quality, the friendly atmosphere, and overall guest satisfaction. While you can see photos and fall in love with the views, it is always smart to check out real experiences. Once you see what people like or do not like about a certain resort, you will know exactly whether it is a place for you!

By considering these factors, you can choose the Sandals resort in St. Lucia that best aligns with your ideal getaway, making your vacation truly unforgettable! After all, these hotels are all about pleasure and magical experiences, so you deserve to have what you expect!

Important Information for Traveling to St. Lucia

Sandals Grande St Lucian Over The Water Bungalows at night

When you arrive in Saint Lucia, whether it is at Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) in Vieux Fort or George F.L. Charles Airport (SLU) in Castries, there are a couple of important things to keep in mind.

First off, you will need to fill out the Saint Lucia Immigration and Customs Form online within 72 hours of your arrival. Also, it is important to hold onto the receipt you receive, as you will need to show it to customs when you get there. The good news is that if you are traveling with family or a group, just one form is needed for everyone.

Moreover, if you are a U.S. citizen, you are in luck because you do not need a visa for leisure trips lasting under 90 days. Just make sure your passport is valid and will not expire for at least six months after your visit, and you might also need to present proof of your departure date.

When it comes to leaving, the general rule is to get to the airport at least three hours before your flight. The staff at Sandals will handle your airport transfer, making sure to get you there in plenty of time based on your flight schedule.

You should know that the Hewanorra Airport is fairly small, but Sandals has a lovely lounge where you can relax and enjoy some refreshments before your flight.

Lastly, if you are wondering about safety, Saint Lucia is currently at a Level 1 travel advisory, which is the lowest level on the scale. This means you can travel there with normal precautions, so you can enjoy your trip with peace of mind!
